Smooth Radio North East and New Horizons Transport and Training have been overwhelmed with Easter Egg donations after asking businesses across the region to donate just one egg to a child who will unfortunately spend Easter in hospital.
The aim of the promotion was to get as many local businesses and members of staff to donate Easter Eggs, which have been collected and distributed by Smooth Radio North East and New Horizons to hundreds of children who unfortunately will be spending Easter Sunday in hospitals across the North East.
Pauline Peniche, Station Director at Smooth Radio North East said “We are so pleased to be working with New Horizons Transport & Training on such a lovely project and it’s fantastic to see key businesses across the region signing up to help us really brighten up Easter for those children who are sick and spending it away from their loved ones”
Iain Dailey, Director of New Horizons Transport and Training said: “We were approached by Smooth Radio and asked if we could pick up and deliver the chocolate eggs on the run up to the Easter weekend. We are extremely grateful to the local businesses across the North East for their generous donations, which we know will make a big difference to the children in hospital this Easter.”
Smooth Radio North East and New Horizons Transport and Training distributed Easter Eggs to hospitals across the region today, making a difference to children and their families in the heart of the local community.
